La Découverte school collects and processes personal data that you voluntarily transmit to us by sending us an e-mail, filling in an online form, participating in a survey, or registering your children in our school or other services, such as holiday camps, meals and transport.
We create and process personal data files for our current and future pupils, customers and suppliers in order to assess and process their registration and admission as well as to manage any contractual relationship with the persons concerned or their legal representatives.
In particular, data relating to the payment of school fees is used exclusively for internal or statistical purposes. All collection and analysis of personal data is treated as confidential.
We only pass on personal data to partners when this is necessary for the school’s activities and operations. Personal data collected is not passed on to third parties without the prior consent of the persons concerned or their legal representatives.
This data is never sold to third parties.
By transmitting data to La Découverte School, you confirm that in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 (11) of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which entered into force on May 25, 2018, Ecole La Découverte, located at avenue de Sécheron 11 – 1202 Geneva, Switzerland, as data controller, is authorized to process and use or communicate your personal data for the purposes of carrying out its educational operations and activities and sending communications related to the School and its associated services. This consent also applies to the sending of emails and SMS messages in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
You also consent to the School having your personal data processed by subcontractors in accordance with the conditions established by the GDPR. Contracts are concluded with our subcontractors and in particular with our trustee. This means that they cannot use your personal data without instructions from us. They do not share your personal data with any organization other than us. They keep your personal data secure and store it for the length of time we request.
Consent is given for an unlimited period, subject to revocation. At the end of the contractual relationship, data relating to our former students is kept for statistical and quality control purposes, unless you formally request us to do so.
