Family and School links

At La Découverte, we consider communication between children, parents and teachers as vital for a child’s progression and awareness of their evolution.

This communication is formally delivered in 4 ways:

• Parent meetings: Parents, children and teachers talk about all aspects of school life, including their objectives for the next period of learning. See section Assessment
• Informal visits to class: Parents are welcome in the class before 8.30, when they can discuss with their child the work they have been doing.
• Events: Our school year is punctuated by events to which the parents are cordially invited.
• Class parent meeting: In September, each class has a meeting for all parents where key information and timetables are presented.
